My artist statement
Neo-Emotism
The transposition of an emotion into matter.
“Sculpture is my language, a bridge to kindred souls.”
01
What is the true function of matter?
I imprint into matter emotions charged with symbolism and contrasts, to guide those who share my sensitivity on an emotional, introspective journey toward awareness of feeling.
I sculpt to transform my inner world into matter and to decompress emotions. Sculpture is my language for creating connections.
02
Beyond emotion
Neo-Emotism does not seek superficial emotion: it pushes the viewer to question and to move past the first impression.
They are not mere objects, but living entities: a bridge between art and psyche, between matter and feeling. I call them meditative sculptures: you do not look at them once, you spend time with them. The protagonist is man, in search of his being.
03
Contrast is my signature
My approach is a calculated conflict: a fierce dialogue between opposites that questions and shakes those who stop to observe. Contrast is the visual metaphor of human inner tension, the struggle between order and chaos, between unease and the search for harmony.
How I build contrast, with matter, patinas and light, I tell in theStudio.
04
Who is the viewer I seek
Only those who are ready stop to look and to reflect. I look for those who want a deep visual and introspective experience. It is not the person who chooses the work: it is the work that chooses the person.
My works are tools for reflection, an invitation to access your inner world.
My works do not only ask to be seen. They ask to be lived.
And you, what do you feel looking at them?
