Motore in avaria
The work ENGINE FAILURE is the embodiment of the archetype of theDivided Modern Man. It is a visual meditation on the alienation of consciousness in the face of progress and psychological solitude.
This sculpture translates emotional conflict into matter. The human face is divided by a spiral mechanical wheel that represents technological progress and time. On one side, man is integrated and enhanced by evolution; on the other he is disintegrated and eroded by an improper use that empties his creative abilities. The wheel, deliberately incomplete, symbolizes the unstoppable dynamism and the fragility of this cycle.
Every element is a symbol. The man looks toward a way out, which is the possibility of regaining decision-making power and self-awareness. The work is built to offer the viewer a triple vision: from the front, you see yourself in the steel eye in a direct confrontation with yourself. This interaction forces a choice: to see yourself again as the architect of your own destiny (second vision) or as a victim of society (third vision).
Through this dialogue between matter and meaning, ENGINE FAILURE offers itself as a mirror: not an answer, but an invitation to feel.
In your life of progress and solitude, who holds the real decision-making power over your consciousness?
